Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how AI HomeInspector collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. It applies to account holders, workspace members, and recipients of shared reports.

Data we collect

Account data: your name, email, and authentication metadata. Workspace data: workspace name, members, roles, and settings.

Customer Content: the inspection reports you upload and the findings extracted from them. Usage data: log and telemetry needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How we use data

To provide and maintain the Service, process your reports into findings, manage billing, secure accounts, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Report files and AI processing

Your reports are stored encrypted at rest and scoped to your workspace via row-level security. Reports are analyzed by automated models to extract findings.

You can opt out of having your Customer Content used to improve our models from Privacy & retention in settings. Opting out does not affect processing needed to deliver your own results.

Sharing links

Scoped share links expose only the report sections you select, can be time-limited and access-limited, and can be revoked at any time. Recipients see only what the link grants.

Subprocessors

We rely on a small set of subprocessors under data-protection terms, including cloud hosting (AWS), our managed database and auth provider (Supabase), email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe).

Retention and deletion

You can delete individual reports and your account. Deleting a report removes its associated files and extracted findings. Account deletion removes personal data except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (e.g. invoices).

Workspace owners can configure a report retention window in settings.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these from within the app or by contacting us.

Security and contact

We use encryption in transit and at rest, workspace-scoped access controls, and least-privilege service credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data. Reach our security team through the contact page.
